With some mortgage companies it is sufficient to provide them with a letter requesting removal from the loan, a copy of the transfer deed, and the loan number. Some will want the copy to be certified, and some will want a fee to perform the documentation change. Others are nastier and will want you to refinance. Contact the mortgage company and ask them what the procedure is. If you have loan documents this information may be stated there also.
